Friday donut date at home. I asked her if she wanted blueberry donuts. Her reply, "That's not a good idea. Let's do pink."

Hey, lady!! You're an awesome cook...got a good salsa recipe??? I want to make homemade for a dinner this week!!! Love all your pics! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteHey, girl, hey! I have a couple I like, here's a link to roasted salsa - a little work but so tasty: http://www.recipeforcrazy.com/2011/09/seriously-best-homemade-salsa-ive-had.html, it's under that salsa picture and if you don't like really spicy, just use original Rotel.
DeleteAnd here's a super easy one I use that takes less than 5 min: http://www.recipeforcrazy.com/2013/03/oh-vitamix-i-really-really-like-you.html
Totally got the Dirty Dancing watermelon reference! And I have to tell you too...I first started reading Ashley's blog, and then of course, discovered yours soon after. Like it or not, one of the first references to you that I remember from your sister was about noodling. ;) Anyway, thanks to recent shows highlighting noodling, my boys (2 and 4) now play "mudcats" with each other - and I think of you every time. One usually hides somewhere under some blankets and the other reaches one arm in and comes out with a "fish". I don't even think it's legal in Nebraska where I live, but I do think it's quite entertaining - and gutsy! Ha!!
ReplyDeleteJust so you don't think I only associate you with that crazy fishing stuff, I love your recipes and prints too. Can't wait to try that Pad Thai! Have a great week!
This totally made me laugh! Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
DeleteLesley. I have the donut maker and need you to post recipes please. Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you! I will work on this for you, but I do have a few pinned on pinterest that I need to try: http://pinterest.com/lesleyzellers/for-the-love-of-donuts/
DeleteSweet bouncing fairy - oh my goodness! I think popcorn-hoarder looks more appropriate :)
ReplyDeleteHa! no doubt
DeleteWhat is a Jim's 3-way???
ReplyDeleteIt's spaghetti noddles topped with chili and beans. Then I have them add cheese and onions. SO GOOD.
DeleteHey lady! It was so much fun meeting you last week! That feels like a really long time ago, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring to ya!
So good meeting you too!! Happy Spring back at ya!
DeleteLots of fun stuff! We need a new kitchen sink... I would love to know what kind / which one you picked. :) My husband has a potential job opportunity with Williams in Tulsa. I doubt we'll go, but it's a possibility. Praying about it. Anyway! :) I had to smile when I read the other comments. My friends and I in college used to say, "Hey, Lady!" all the time when greeting one another. Haven't said that in a long time. :)
ReplyDeleteHey lady!
DeleteI have no idea! My husband go it at Home Depot. Did your husband decide on the job?!
Precious babes. On so many counts. This is random, but I am SO inspired by your "donut dates". It's so adorable to me that you are intentional with something so simple. Can't wait to do something similar with my kiddos one day! (not for a while, I'm a newlywed. :) )
ReplyDeleteXO Victoria
Awesome! I imagine us still having donut dates when they come home from college and after they're married, God willing! I love that our little date inspired you and get crackin on the baby-makin ;) Kidding, but seriously, kids are AWESOME! Congrats on being a newlywed, soak it in!
DeleteI still think the fairy bed jump is epic!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites!
DeleteDaddy painting toenails... oh the sweetness!
ReplyDeleteIt melted my heart.
DeleteThanks. Now to just work on getting some prints!
ReplyDeleteBlerg! I know.
DeleteSo great! Looks like so much fun! I love all the girly stuff! I am surrounded by boys :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a whole lotta pink around here. Not sure what I'd do with a boy but I do know they are a whole different world of fun!
DeleteA donut maker?? And in such a happy color. Where has that been all my life!?
ReplyDeleteYour life is beauty full.
Yes! And Target has them on clearance right now!!
