Embracing the Camera

It's been a while since I've participated in Emily's Embrace the Camera. Partly because I'm not too fond of taking pictures of myself all massive and pregnant and partly because I just haven't made it a priority.

It's a little weird to me that I spend the entire day with Sweet P and barely have 10 pictures of me with her in the last few months. I have tons of pictures of her and her with her daddy but not many of me.

I need to be better about getting pictures of us, especially good pictures (aka non-iphone pics). But, for now, these will have to do.

etcfeb

Just the two of us, hanging out in the kitchen with her purple pony.

  1. Lovely pics Lesley! I always said that even a bad picture is better than no picture at all. Your babies will never think of how you looked in a picture, they will only see their mom which is beautiful regardless of how bloated you feel!

  4. So sweet, Leslie :)

You know, I remember sitting in a rocking chair, holding my oldest when she was just 16 months... expecting my second child any day. I remember being a bit teary-eyed... excited for the new baby, but somehow sad, too, that the little life I knew was about to be gone... changed.

Of course, the new baby came (another girl) and I loved her to bits and would never have traded anything to get the old days back. The love really does come. It's amazing. We have 5 children now, and everytime I get so nervous about the new that's coming. But, it's always better than I could possibly imagine :)

I'll pray for you and your sweet babes today.

    1. Jacci, thank you so much for the encouraging words. It is a little bittersweet. Excited about what's to come but a little sad about change. Congrats on your 5!

  7. So much happiness. I don't get behind the camera too much either. This was a good reminder.

  9. I wish I had more pictures of my mom and I. Bad ones or not. iPhone pics will do just fine ;D and they aren't bad at all. They are adorable!

  10. so cute.

i have to ask, (and maybe i missed a post about it) did you replace your camera? if so, what did you get? or are you thinking about? i am seriously considering a dslr or even a better point and shoot (we have a nikon s9100).
