Rib Festival

Three years ago, we took Sweet P to her very first festival. It was the Rock and Rib Festival.

We ate. She slept. I wrote about it here in 2010. Funny thing about that post, there's festival food, Mexican food and donuts all in that one. Good times people.

Two years later we took her back. I posted about it here last year.

This time she gnawed on a rib and did a little dancing.

And this year, we introduced little sister to the festival.

Sweet P has clearly grown a bit and learned a thing or two over the years. But she better watch out, that little sister seems to be picking up on it all quite well.

Little Sister's first selfie?

Kind of looks like it, huh?

If you missed this year's Rock and Rib Festival, don't fret, you can get your meat fix this weekend at the Art of BBQ. I've never been but hope to make it this time.

  1. Hi Lesley! I'm local and was just wondering how I could find out about all these festivals that go on downtown? Is there a mailing list of some sort? I feel like I'm missing out. Thanks for your help! :-)

    1. Hi Kristen! I subscribe to the TulsaPeople newsletter. It usually has a weekly event list. I also check out http://dowhat.thislandpress.com/ from time to time. If you ever see a Tulsa People magazine when you're out and about, grab one, they have an events calendar at the back and I usually make note of anything we might be interested in. Also, I'm sure you know this but Philbrook is free admission on the 2nd Sat. of each month and have lots of kids activities!

      Hope that helps!

  2. We enjoy the Art of BBQ--not near as extensive as the Rib Festival looks, but yummy food all the same.

  3. Omgosh. Love them gnawing on bones. I totally let my girls do that. I would do so many things to go to a rib/BBQ festival.

I know it can be a little scary but go on, I'd love to hear from you!
