BLT and the Baby

We had another successful afternoon weeding the front flower bed. I have to say, the job is less tedious when you have a little friend to make you laugh.

I had Sweet P in her tent again outside while I pulled more weeds but she did not want anything to do with the tent. She was more interested in the weeds I was pulling.

On that note, why do babies want to play more with weeds or electrical cords (don't worry, I keep those away from her but if she spots one she puts it into super-crawl mode) and not with their bright, noisy, "educational" toys? Baffling.

Anyway, I let her investigate (keeping an eye on her to make sure the weeds didn't make it into her mouth).

Her daintiness really comes out when she's in grass. She hates the dead grass touching her knees so she crawls around on her hands and feet.

She can even do a one-armed push up!

And she's quite friendly with the neighbors.

She's not really waving here, that's how she talks, with one hand in the air. Talking with her hands...I have NO idea where she gets that!

And she likes to cheese for the camera.

After all that hard work it was time to go inside for a sandwich!

Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Now, if I can only get my tomatoes to grow already so I can have fresh tomatoes on my blt!

  1. Oh my goodness! I think the daintyness is just an act after seeing that one armed pushup! Sure she looks tiny and sweet but she will take you down! Lol.

  4. Talking with her hands!!!!!! mmmmmmmmm, could it be she comes from a long (very long) line of hand talkers????? Guess she will be "Carrying on the Family Tradition"

  6. Curious how you get the cute scalloped edges on some of your photos and the faded tape looking labels for them. I've noticed similar stuff on your sis' blog... maybe its just a sister thing that can't be shared and I understand. If its something you found that I could use too, spread the love! Thanks. kellisblinn@gmail.com
